 Choosing assisted living is an important decision, and you don’t have to navigate the process alone. At The Stonehaven Home and Valentines Assisted Living, our team is available to answer your questions, discuss your loved one’s needs, and help you determine whether one of our communities may be the right fit.

We strive to make the admissions process as simple and comfortable as possible for residents and their families.

 The first step is simply to contact us. We’ll take time to learn more about the prospective resident, answer questions about our homes and services, discuss current availability, and explain what to expect throughout the admissions process.

We also encourage families to schedule a tour. Visiting in person gives you an opportunity to see the home, meet our staff, ask questions, and get a better feel for the environment your loved one may call home.

 Prior to admission, our team will work with the resident, family, and healthcare providers as appropriate to better understand the resident’s needs and determine how we can best provide support.

Information requested during the admission process may include:

• Current medications and pharmacy information 
• Medical and healthcare provider information 
• Emergency contact information 
• Current care and assistance needs 
• Dietary needs and preferences 
• Mobility and personal-care needs 
• Insurance and identification information, when applicable 
• Other documents or information needed to help us prepare for the resident’s arrival

The Stonehaven Home and Valentines Assisted Living are private-pay communities and do not accept Medicare.

Rates, services, payment arrangements, and applicable costs are discussed with prospective residents and their families before admission. We want families to have a clear understanding of financial responsibilities before making a decision.

Moving into assisted living is a significant life change. Our goal is to make that transition feel as welcoming and comfortable as possible.

Families are encouraged to bring personal belongings that help make the resident’s new space feel familiar and like home. Our team will help answer questions about what to bring and how to prepare for move-in.
